FURTHER INFORMATION ON BACHATA AND LATINO BODY MOVEMENT

1) Important Health & Safety information

These workshops may contain body movements as well as steps.

Learning body movement as well as footwork, will take your dancing to the next level and give you a very fluid flowing dancing style. Even as a beginner you can then look great.

However, people new to Bachata may well wish to focus on the steps and leave the body movement for another time. That's fine!

If any of the body movements are new to you - as with any form of exercise remember that it is easier to injure yourself when learning types of movement which are new to you.

Please be aware of your limitations (everyone is different) and DON'T DO anything which hurts, feels uncomfortable or jarring to the body. (NB: Body movements are generally fluid, natural and flowing, anything that feels jarring probably means you're doing it wrong).

You are more likely to hurt yourself if you force or rush movements which are new. Don’t overdo movements. Quality is more important than quantity.

It is generally best to go for a small movement to start with – this will give you a better quality of movement as well as making you less likely to hurt yourself doing something unfamiliar.

WARMING UP
is important for everyone doing any exercise - particularly those involving new types of movements - as may well be the case in these workshops.

BACK or JOINT PROBLEMS - PLEASE TALK TO US FIRST
If you have any back or joint problems (neck, hip etc.) we advise you to speak to us before you attend the workshop to make sure it is suitable for you.
